“Jeremy is one of the most enthusiastic and dedicated teachers I have had the pleasure of working with. He is a warm, kind, and unflaggingly positive individual with seemingly limitless amounts of energy. His genuine curiosity about others and his sincere passion for teaching are qualities that make him an exemplary educator. His openness and willingness to learn about his students and their interests allow him to establish meaningful connections with them, and this in turn keeps his students motivated, engaged, and excited about learning. Any child would be lucky to have Jeremy as a teacher.” Mimi Ghosh former AEON WEST Japan head trainer for Native English Teachers

"Your child heading to kindergarten is a significant milestone where there is excitement but also some angst as a parent. When our son began kindergarten, I felt both exhilarated for our son but also some anxiety. There were many questions I had about our son’s success trajectory in kindergarten: would he be able to read by the end of the year, learn how to spell, get along with other children, and follow instruction. The Kindergarten experience taught me I had to let our son grow in his own way and at his own pace. We are so grateful for Mr. White who was instrumental in our son’s remarkable development in kindergarten. Our child has not only academically excelled but also his personality has also blossomed. He is kind, makes friends easily, thinks critically through challenges, and has one of the most amazing personalities. What we realized is all of those talents and attributes were always there within our son but we needed a teacher like Mr. White to bring that alive through guidance, support, structure, and love. Our son is now heading to 1st grade and he is more than prepared to take on this new level in his academic success with confidence and certainty. Mr. White’s passion for teaching and expectation of excellence in our son has left a lasting impact not only on our son’s life but our family. Thank you, Mr. White."-Sabrina, Parent and PTO leader at Brisbane Academy Preparatory School 2018-2019in Charlotte NC

“Jeremy worked in Japanese public elementary schools with us and was hugely popular with students and teachers alike. He was responsive to training and advice, eager to excel and perfect his teaching strategies, and easily adapted to any and every classroom and Japanese teacher that he worked with. He has an unfailingly positive demeanor that kids and adults alike are drawn to and I would love to have him back teaching with us at any time in the future.”-Graham Von Zwoll head of ALTIA CENTRAL Recruiting

"Mr. White was my daughter’s teacher prior to her entrance into Kindergarten. He taught my daughter the love of learning with his stories and his incredible attitude. Mr. White took time in finding what would motivate my daughter to excel in Reading and Math. Upon entering Kindergarten my daughter was reading fluidly and had the ability to do her basic math work. The attention to detail he has placed into her needs was remarkable, she continues to speak of her time with Mr. White with undeniable respect and joy. He will always be thought of as an incredible educator and we are thankful to have had him in her life."- Rebecca Whitener, Parent of student at Oakhurst Academy in Fall 2008

"Hello, my name is Kevin Gamble and I would like to share a testimony for the world. I got custody of my daughter in June 2017 and when we were on the elevator I asked her to push the 1st floor button. She looked up at me and said, "Daddy, I don't know what a 1 looks like." At first I thought she was being silly and playing around, but then I saw her eyes start to water and she started to cry. I realized then that I had to do something about it. I was lost. I looked around for various schools because my daughter was 5 and was supposed to be going into 1st grade but she could not read, write, or recognize any of her numbers. I found Brisbane Academy and had an interview with the owner. It was all love and hugs but I didn't know about anyone else in the school and I worried about my daughter being mistreated or stigmatized because of her deficiencies. At the time, there was a teacher who was from my hometown who taught at Brisbane so I decided to sign my daughter up. I put her in their summer program and found out that a man would be teaching my daughter in the upcoming kindergarten year starting from the fall. My daughter was a little worried as well, but as soon as I met him all my doubts went away. I felt a unique vibe and I never saw a man take to her so well. She had never trusted any men in her life other than being with me at the time. It was a transition for both of us.
Her first day of school I was scared and she was scared. We both cried that morning before she started school. The very first day of school I asked Mr. White what I could do, whatever it was, to make sure my daughter can get a quality education and get caught up in her academics. We settled on tutoring three days a week for two hours after school. Mr. White did this every day with not only my youngest daughter but also my oldest. He taught the full day and then helped both of my daughters out for two hours three days a week. Soon enough, he and I were on the same page when it came to my daughter and suddenly my daughter had confidence even though it was a long process.
Now Mr. White is like family and my daughter trusts him. He is the best teacher I've ever encountered in my life. Mr. White actually gave me his Parent of the Year award at Kindergarten graduation. I cried, because I've accomplished a lot in my life and I've failed a lot in my life, but to watch this man love my daughter and love all of the children he taught is a blessing. I'm mad he's not teaching her every year but we are family. The only reason I know it is because he told me that as well.
I had a rough upbringing when I was younger and to bond with a grown man after you are an adult is rare. This is one of my best friends and we barely know each other. The love he shows me and my daughter is rare. If you ever get a chance to have someone in your children's life who cares then please reach out to Mr. White. I could go on and say more, but the bottom line is he is a great teacher, you will not be disappointed if you choose to have him as your child's teacher." -Kevin Gamble Parent of a Kindergarten Student at Brisbane Academy 2017-2018

My daughter had the privilege of being in Mr. White’s kindergarten class for the 2017-2018 school year. He was an exceptional educator who pushed Ava well beyond what we thought were her limits. He was patient, yet held high expectations, and as a result, she was able to reach those. His strategies were extremely effective, as she still refers to them to this day. Ava left his class reading and writing on an advanced level because of the time and approaches that Mr. White took and all of the strategies that used. I am very grateful for all of his hard work!- Xavia Johnson Parent of Kindergarten Student 2017-2019 at Brisbane Academy Preparatory School
